The development of customised embedded systems, such as for automation, AI or image processing, is time and money intensive, so these solutions are usually used for several years. For this reason, the long-term availability of the central component - the embedded board - is very important.
For very compact embedded solutions we recommend the 3.5" Board series IB919, which is available for a long term of 15 years. You can choose between 4 processor variants (Core i7/i5/i3/ Celeron) from the Whiskey Lake generation. All boards of the series have two DDR4-2400 SO-DIMMs for up to 16 GB RAM and an Intel® UHD graphic integrated on the chip, which can control up to three independent displays via two display ports (DP & type C) and one eDP or 24-bit dual-channel LVDS interface.
Fast data transfer is realised via Dual Intel® Gigabit Ethernet LAN. It offers you a wide range of interfaces with its small dimensions of only 102 x 147 mm: Two M.2 slots (M2280 & E2230) for NVMe drives and CNVi wireless connectivity, four COM, two SATA III, four USB 3.1 Gen2 (10 Gb/s), two USB 2.0 and one USB Type C connector.
The IB919 boards offers remote system management with iAMT and enhanced system security through a TPM (Trusted Platform Module) chip. The intelligent heat concept, which combines all heat generating components on one board side, and a TDP of 15W allow an operating temperature range of 0°C to 60°C. In addition, the 9 to 24 VDC input voltage range supports the requirements of industrial applications.
