Connection to the modern technology

Even today in many production halls there are still serial end devices such as fieldbus I/O, frequency converters or controllers which are important for the processes and whose integration into the IT environment is necessary. "Ethernet-to-Serial" gateways enable a serial device to be easily connected to a modern TCP/IP network.

The compact RS-422/485 Modbus Gateway IMG-110T enables the setup of an interface between the Modbus RTU/ASCII protocol and the Modbus TCP/IP protocol. In this way the serial terminals become IP-based participants in an IP network. Necessary configurations are made in the Built-In Web Interface or remotely via Telnet console. Free software tools help with the installation and administration of the gateways in the network.

The Modbus Gateway IMG-110T operates as a Modbus RTU Master or Slave device as required. In the master configuration, communication to 32 TCP slave devices is possible, in slave mode up to 16 TCP master connections can be made.

Spectra offers a wide range of gateways and interface converters that enable you to overcome "protocol or interface hurdles" of any kind. You can find an overview here.
