SCB 100

Automated work processes are becoming increasingly complex and safety requirements are very high, especially for collaborative workstations where people work closely with machines. For the development of such solutions, all components must already have extensive safety functions.

We present the SCB 100, a SIL-2 compliant mini-ITX board. The Safety Integrity Level (SIL) is an integrated safety solution developed by Intel and implemented in selected Intel processors and chipsets. This also applies to the Intel Atom® x6427FE processor, which is used on the SCB 100 board. The all-round package for functional safety includes features such as Intel® Safety Island, which, together with the Intel® Slim Bootloader with Pre-OS Checker, offers double error prevention and thus increases the level of protection from the system start. This processor also offers you modern CPU and graphics performance as well as integrated IoT functions.
