Spectra was established in 1982 and has since then developed to become a renowned supplier of products directly and indirectly related to industrial computer applications in Germany. The company took its first steps as a system house. Later on, the distribution of PC hardware and the development of customised industrial PC systems were added.

No year like any other. We add the COVID access panel MBPC-K304 to our portfolio, which measures body temperature and verifies the wearing of a mouth-nose mask, among other things.

With the Spectra PowerBox 4000 series, Spectra introduces a high-performance embedded server specially designed for complex deep learning and machine vision applications.

Industrial Voice Control

Spectra GmbH & Co. KG and voice INTER connect GmbH in Dresden, the specialist for intercom solutions, industrial voice control systems and intelligent 3D personal sensor technology, have entered into a strategic partnership.

Sales Office North

The opening of the Sales Office North near Hannover now guarantees customer support throughout northern Germany.

Extended Management Board

Mr Klaus Rottmayr has been a new member of the Management Board since 1 October. He supports the management team with a main focus on the fields of product management, sales & marketing.

Since 15 March, Spectra has been presented with a new design. The website is modern and clearly structured, but also contains a great deal of additional information on the products and our company.

Ready for Industry 4.0

Industry 4.0 is an important topic at Spectra. As part of a solution day under the motto “From sensor to cloud”, we presented initial solution approaches to the participants.

New Corporate Design

In order to make Spectra’s appearance even more uniform, the corporate design has been completely revised, giving Spectra a new look in print media, at trade fairs and in advertisements.

Market launch of new Spectra product series

The compact, fanless mini PCs of the Spectra PowerBox 3000 series and the flexible panel PCs and monitors of the Spectra PowerTwin series were introduced to the market in autumn.

Sales Office Southwest & Southeast

By opening the regional sales offices, the customer support in southern and eastern Germany has been improved further.

SPS IPC Drives with a new fair stand

The requirements for Spectra’s new fair stand included a clearer and more modern design. The new concept was first presented at the SPS IPC Drives in November.

In our industry sector, keeping pace with the times and not missing out on trends is of crucial importance. Correspondingly, the corporate logo has been given a new modern design.

Opening of the new production hall

Since the beginning of January, IPC systems have been assembled in the new production hall.

New building in Reutlingen

The building in Echterdingen is getting too small. For this reason, a new company building with an office area of 1,400 sqm and a warehouse and production area of 1,800 sqm is being erected in Reutlingen, which will be opened by the end of the year.

The Spectra GmbH & Co. KG subsidiary in Sipbachzell, Austria, is to improve customer support in Austria and significantly shorten the delivery periods for Austrian customers.

It was originally developed for a customer project, but its sophisticated cooling concept and flexibility has made the Spectra PowerBox one of the most successful products of our company.

The great demand for our complete IPC systems necessitated a considerable expansion of our assembly capacities.

Spectra in Switzerland

Spectra (Switzerland) AG, an independent new subsidiary in Egg/Zurich, is to improve customer support in the non-EU country Switzerland and significantly shorten the delivery periods for Swiss customers.
