The EMP-2848M EtherCAT Master offers a compact and flexible solution for small and medium-sized Motion Control applications. Thanks to the integrated multi-axis motion control kernel it is particularly suitable for controlling complex motion sequences. The powerful Quad-Core Cortex-A53 processor together with the Real-Time Linux operating system and the built-in Soft-PLC ensure a fast and real-time capable behavior.
You can flexibly connect any standard third-party EtherCAT slave to the EMP-2848M, such as I/Os, servo motors, stepper motors or encoders.

This gives you the ability to have up to 128 slaves, including 16 servo and stepper motors synchronously updated within a cycle time of 500 microseconds.

The integrated web server supports you in configuring and diagnosing EtherCAT networks as well as testing motion control functions. The IEC-61131 based programming software ensures high compatibility and reusability e.g. when transferring already existing code.

With its narrow 4.2 cm width, the EMP-2848M fits into the smallest control cabinet. A robust metal housing and operation at -25°C to +75°C underline the industrial character.
